Journey Beyond Reality: Hainan Airlines Unveils Mind-Blowing In-Flight Experience with AR Glasses.

Hainan Airlines is handing out Rokid AR glasses for in-flight entertainment

Hainan Airlines has begun offering Rokid’s augmented reality glasses for in-flight amusement on particular routes, making it the first airline to do so on a big scale.

Passengers can watch 3D movies, read e-books, and play easy games on the glasses instead of using the built-in displays.

Although Apple’s Vision Pro virtual reality headset has a “travel mode” for airplanes, it is not yet accessible in China.

The glasses, which retail for a little over $420, were purchased by Hainan Airlines in large quantities so that passengers may use them for free on over 20 trips.

They will be deployed on more flights beginning Thursday, following a successful initial trial in January.

Rokid expects to make more announcements about comparable partnerships with other airlines, including major global carriers, in the coming months.
